The elegant textures and colours of Florentine marbled papers are the starting point in the design of this wallpaper.

The characteristic colourful waves of these artefacts are repeated almost obsessively to create a finely textured backdrop of contrasting colours. A movement reminiscent of a kind of digital screen disturbance, but also of the subtle, frenetic brushstrokes of Impressionist paintings. Hence the reference to Van Gogh's "Starry Night" and the idea of superimposing graphic elements in the shape of stars flying around, scattered across the background. Serena Confalonieri
