I learnt the technique of "pulled string art", used by one of my students on the experimental techniques course I teach at the IED in Milan, to create this image. It alludes to algorithms and Bézier curves.

Given my attraction to all things experimental and the use of incongruous materials in painting, I resolved to explore this fascinating practice, which when suitably integrated with digital processes, resulted in something I feel evokes ancestral plant forms, perhaps belonging to a prehistoric forest inhabited by dinosaurs.
