The background bears the signs of time, the patches are embroidered and the features of the flower are swirls of petals and slender stems. The rose has shades of indigo, blue, teal, sky blue, petrol green, cerulean and Prussian blue. Or perhaps none of these, or rather, all of them mixed together. Because the result is an amalgam, an alchemy, a mixture, a spell.

Nonostante il fiore is the drawing of the branch of intricate wild roses handmade by me. There are also precious patches, embroideries and colour interventions, which convey a world, a lifestyle, a choice of life. Antonio Marras
