Le Dictateur

The basic structure of this work derives from a small pencil and pastel work depicting a series of organic shapes that interpenetrate and interact. In a second step the shapes are re-imagined through the technique of wood inlay. This last step reopens the dialogue between organic forms and live materials, like wood, generating a disorienting optical effect. A classic technique like marquetry is thus used to present a contemporary vision. Le Dictateur
