Boom Bloom is the result of mixed techniques: vintage wallpaper salvaged from a flea market, onto which recycled wool pom-poms were applied, along with some acrylic paint strokes.

Flowers are the leitmotif of all my work: the observation, the application, the painting, the making. Flowers - cut flowers, garden flowers, but especially wild, native ones - are my real source of inspiration, perhaps because they have always been part of my life, ever since I was a child living in the countryside. Their compositions bear a strength that is symbolic of the life cycle of nature. Andrea Merendi
