Earl Grey is inspired by the frescoes of Pompeii and by certain medieval decorations that saw the walls of rooms being broken down to let nature in - in both cases a serene nature, tamed by man, the Garden of Eden where flowers, fruit and animals, especially birds, happily mingle.

For my graphic composition I focused my attention on the birds, envisaging an abstract representation through various textures and colours, but always in the name of lightness, inserted within a grid, a trompe l'oeil element on which the vegetation climbs, resulting in an orderly composition.
