‘I love fabrics, I like the way they delineate space, the way the light caresses them, creating soft shadows. It is also an interesting imaginative exercise: we all see the same white fabric woven with cherry blossoms, but no one will have the same idea of what is behind it. The visible is the same for everyone, the invisible will be different for everyone because it is a projection of our inner space, of our fantasies, of our private intimacy. And it is precisely what cannot be seen, precisely what has not been painted that fascinates and interests me’.
