When I first entered what has since become my home, I discovered an old painted decoration whilst attempting to fix a crack in a plastered wall. I scratched the white plaster away like an archaeologist and discovered several layers that had accumulated over time: decorations, wallpaper, paint.

In the Wavy wallpaper these stratifications of different materials and colours are tamed into soft curves in pursuit of each other, playing in an articulated pattern that gives depth to the wall. Simone Fanciullacci
